An Excellent Read!

To Trust Stranger Karen Robards

This is the first Karen Robards book I have read, and I would HIGHLY recommend it to those who are bored with most of the modern romances out there today. The heroine isn't trying to get married - but she is actually going through a divorce (once she realizes her husband put a mob hit out on her and he's sleeping around with someone she knows . . . . . ) While trying to spy on her husband she meets a VERY hunky/handsome/drool-worthy ex-cop turned private investigator, and he ends up protecting her while they spy on her soon-to-be ex-husband. It sounds complicated but the story has great twists!!! I enjoyed reading this book b/c it was an escape at it's finest - the suspenseful parts had me really creeped out, and it was a great read at night, but the connection between the hero and the heroine were great! Some people felt turned off by her attitude but I actually really enjoyed the tension between their characters. Karen Robards gets an A+++ for great plot twists and steamy tension and an all-around entertaining read! Favorite scenes include: the "Sweetwater" strip club scene, the "mace" incident, the poodle, the car assasination scene (whoa!), the swamp scene, the finale.

Before I purchased Style Evolution I read through many reviews. First off, anyone who says this book is for fashion insiders is really off the mark. This book is clear, concise, funny and offers so many easy to follow strategies - especially for shopping. I am 'a woman of a certain age' as the author calls over 40's and have been so frustrated lately trying to find things that look like they are in fashion but that fit. The author devotes a whole chapter to outlining how to look at what's in stores and the best ways to shop anywhere and then how to discriminatly choose things that work (in many price ranges).She devotes another chapter to how to wear trends to look sophisticated and not like a fashion victim. I got a lot of her approach.
Now, if someone will just give this woman a televsion show where she can continue to teach her common sense approach for over 40 women instead of the usual programs directed at trendy and young then I would be a very happy viewer/shopper. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to improve her style and her outlook.

Sister Mercedes Temple Doom ebook

I love Brian's stories for many reasons. They are funny and insightful on their own. But for me - a transplanted Southerner in Yankeeland - they go a long way to explain the benevolent (at least most of the time) institutions of Catholicism and simply being Irish in a way that probably doesn't even exist in Ireland. OK, so I don't really think they are all that benevolent - I was being nice. But these stories do make them funny! As another fat little boy, I well remember the "husky" department in department stores. I grew up in a time and place where Catholics were rare. However, my own Southern Baptist mentors taught me that all Catholics were going to hell, and now I understand why! Substitute Southern Baptist for Catholic, and although there are differences, the similarities are disturbing. I can only hope that one day I will be able to approach my childhood with the humor and sensitivity that abound in these stories.

Brian is also the universal man who is always in front of me in the ATM line. Oh, and remind me to avoid Chinese buffets with the Petti family!

I actually fell into the "Gray" series without knowing the subject or the controversy. I had a new Kindle, my daughter in law set it up and asked what book did I want and so the journey began.

I am in my late 60's and while not a prude or naive, I was a little shocked and at times turned off by the sexual content,both in amount and explicitness and decided to read only the one book as I had paid for it. The story was so much more important that the sex, that when I got to the end of #1, I had to find out what was going to happen to this couple as there were lots of changes going on with the two principal characters, several minor characters, a twisting and provocativethen the plot and sub plot. I had to read II and then dive into III.Once again, I had been left hanging and speculating and had to go on to book III.

I am so glad I purchased I unknowingly as all three books were wonderful reads. Many of my friends teased me about my dirty books but after a little explanation of the story, they too read the "dirty books" and no one quit without reading all three.

We are products of our experiences and environment and these books explore this as well as how each of us can overcome adversity by developing a shell, behviors, psyche to protect ourselves and we can also recreate ourselves given the appropriate motivation.

I hope there will be a !V.

Move over cowboys and tycoons the MMA fighters are here and hey pack a punch!!
What an awesome love story and the heroine Caitlyn was a true hero. I could really relate to her background. I love it when the heroine is not one if those typical heroines. I don't want to give too much away but you just HAVE TO read this book.

Please let there be a sequel about her friend Amy and Brad.

Gotta love the hero Dante in this book. Phew, hot tamale!! Totally awesome and totally hot. I just love the acknowledgements at the end too on how this book took 6 years in the making. Wow that just blew me away. I hope the next one only takes 6 months at the least.

I received this book free from Netgalley for an honest review. Once I downloaded it and read the first chapter at around 9.00 pm i was hooked and read until the early hours of the morning until I finished the whole book. I COULD NOT put this book down!

Evolv Mens Royale Climbing Shoe

Ok, first to give some context to the review: These are my first pair of climbing shoes. I have only used them on indoor walls. If you are looking at shoes for this price point, I would assume you are not looking for expert cutting edge climbing shoes.

I gave these shoes a high rating because they fit well to my foot, and I have had no issues with them after hours of climbing at my gym. They are true to size. I wear an 8.5 US shoe size in Brooks running shoes, Asolo hiking shoes, and a couple other brands. So, I ordered a 8.5 in these. My big toe just touches the front. After 2 hours of climbing, my big toe feels slightly pinched. To me, that seems about perfect for climbing shoes.

As far as the style, you may notice that this style of climbing shoes is pretty universal. These look a lot like the Mad Rock shoes that I was wearing as rental shoes. I also looked at some 5.10 coyote shoes that look like these in red.

I'll update this review if anything pops up. But for now, I would say these are a great choice for a first set of climbing shoes.

I adored this story. It showed that sometimes impulsive decisions can change your life for the better and that you have to learn to trust yourself and at times rely on others to lessen your own burdens.
